Hi!  I’m Pam Snell from ACTSmart IT.

ACTSmart IT has been the host and advocate for the Dental Managers Society for several years and I created the Office Managers Society to help in a similar way.

I created this website because I know how hard it is to be an Office Manager, having been one in some form or another for many years.  The hard part is especially true now.  Many have been thrust into the position as a result of COVID-19.  Others have been managing for many years and now the rules have changed – they need to add many more duties to their roles.

The COVID Connection

In mid-March of 2020, ACTSmart team members became remote workers while David and I come to work in the office so we could accept deliveries and keep our essential business running.

All the techs and Lexi, our graphic artist, worked diligently to get all our clients set up remotely.  Lexi created video walk-throughs to show step-by-step instructions.  Most clients had limited tech abilities so our team did a lot of hand-holding, which was very important during these anxious times.

Most healthcare practices had to close due to the vulnerability of patients and staff to this unknown unfamiliar disease.  Many donated their PPE to hospitals and other emergency service providers. Having been the advocate for the Dental Managers Society for several years, I gathered as much information as I could to help them weather this critical and financially devastating time.

I started reaching out to our Team of Experts for information and advice to offer to the group. We merged our 3 editions of printed newsletters into one Special Edition that would cover the common worries and challenges of all our clients.  We had articles like:

While we were posting links to Free Webinars and other relevant articles on both our ACTSmart IT website and the Dental Managers Society website, it became clear that the information had been helping our business clients and it was lost on our IT website so Office Managers Society was born.
