If you are seeking only experienced staff, and you are not able to find them yourself, consider training a candidate with little to no experience. While not ideal, it may take less time to train someone than it will take to wait for the experienced team member to come along. I have worked with countless practices which attempt to wait an extraordinary length of time for the experienced candidate to come along, only to eventually agree to hire someone who is new to the profession. This is while doing their own recruiting.
The issue with waiting for that experienced candidate to come along is your current staff are having to cover the workload of the vacancy while you are searching and waiting, and in the process, may end up burning out. Employees can only pick up additional workloads for so long. Then, a cycle of resignations may ensue as the current employees seek an office which is better staffed so that the workload is more manageable.
If you are having a great deal of difficulty finding experienced staff, please either get help from a professional recruiter, or consider training an inexperienced candidate, before you lose your best and brightest.
You will also gain by hiring an inexperienced candidate, as you train them the way you want the job done, as bad habits have not been formed yet.
